A New Voice in Contemporary Country & Gospel Music

Mercy Junction is a newly formed Christian band from Northern Ireland, bringing together three accomplished musicians — Colin Elliott, Leigh Brown and Tim Boyle — to create a distinctive blend of contemporary country and Gospel music.

Colin Elliott has been involved in Christian music since the age of fourteen and is well known both as a solo artist and as a member of the Christian band Live Issue. Over the years, he has had the opportunity to share his music and Christian faith at venues and events throughout Northern Ireland and beyond.

In 2025, Colin joined forces with lead guitarist Leigh Brown and bassist Tim Boyle, initially to provide additional live instrumentation for his solo ministry. Performing under the name The Colin Elliott Band, the trio quickly developed a strong musical chemistry and, over the following months, received numerous opportunities to perform together across Northern Ireland.

By early 2026, it became clear that the group had developed an identity of its own. With Leigh and Tim both accomplished musicians in their own right, Colin felt it was time for the trio to adopt a name that reflected their shared faith and musical journey.

Mercy Junction was chosen because it represents two important truths at the heart of their message: God's mercy towards us, and the junction or decision each person faces in responding to His free gift of salvation.

Musically, Mercy Junction combines a relaxed, contemporary country sound with the rich traditions of Gospel music. Their repertoire includes much-loved Gospel standards alongside original songs written by Colin. Each song has a story, and their concerts are designed to take audiences on more than just a musical journey — they also share something of their own journey of Christian faith.

The band's debut album, Your Ways, is slated for released in October 2026. Building on that release, Mercy Junction are preparing for their first US tour in spring 2027, which will include the exciting opportunity to record their next album at the legendary Sun Recording Studio in Memphis, Tennessee.

With their distinctive sound, engaging live performances and message of faith and hope, Mercy Junction are looking forward to sharing their music with audiences at home and across the United States.
